Labor Day Weekend.
Literally. We labored. Ok, and had some fun. Of course.
We went down to Fairview, again this weekend.
It was Husband's niece and Older sister (Abby's) birthday and party.
But, before the party we helped Husband's dad get wood, so they can start splitting it for the winter. Yes, they actually cut down HUGE trees and then we had to cut ALL the branches off, cut the trees into small pieces and loaded them into trucks. I think We cut down like 5 or 6 trees and that ended up being like 4 truck loads of fire wood. Fun stuff right there.
I think every night we were down there Husband and I sat on their porch swing and just sat in peace and quiet. Had good little conversations about how our plans and direction is becoming more clear and of course maybe a couple of worries we had.
Sunday was...well Sunday.
We went to Church, had dinner and one, big Family Home Evening.
At dinner, Natalie had these tiles..one for every person with sayings like..
"Say 2 nice things about the person on your left/right."
"Name one new thing you learned today."
Stuff like that and we had to go around and share..Which I think is incredibly awkward. It's fine though, because I got an easy one.. "Name 2 nice things about the person on your left." Guess who was on my left? Yep, Husband!
The hard part was only picking two.
For FHE we talked about tradition. How many of you just thought of Fiddler on the Roof?
Well, good..We watched the first part that sings "TRADITION!"
Monday, We went and picked corn and went to the Watts' house for Cinnamon rolls. Yum!
We left early Monday, so we wouldn't get stuck in all the coming home traffic and we didn't..it was great
Also, How many of you have seen the show "Ridiculous-ness"?
It is hilarious. Like some people really have NO common sense and do about the dumbest things.
It's good for a good laugh though.
We watched it for the first time last night and we didn't stop laughing once!
Which was good..We forced our selves to stay awake to stay up and watch it.
Worth it!
It was kind of, part of our family home evening.
We also got pizza...mmmm:)
