Once Every....

I guess I should start out with a...
Happy Leap Day!
I mean, this only happens ONCE every four years.
February just flew by.
Being a shorter month doesn't help any.
Anyway, I will definitely welcome in March with an open mind.
Plus, we are one month closer to my birthday.
I told husband a couple days ago that there are only 3 months until my birthday and he rolled his eyes. Probably because he didn't realize we were that close to my birthday countdown.

Anyway, speaking of things happening ONCE every four years.
Can I just say...
GO Mitt Romney! I'm so proud of him for taking Michigan and Arizona!
Don't worry I'm not going to go off on all this political stuff...today.
but I will say that I am not voting for Mitt just because he is LDS.
He really knows what he is doing and he is business man. He knows what this country needs to get back on track. I mean compare his plans and reasons for running against the others.
Plus, voting or not voting for him just because of his religion is just as stupid as whoever voted for Obama because he is black. Look how well that has worked out for us.
I wish we could just hear the reason the candidates are running for President and their plans to change and turn this country around without seeing them and their skin color or knowing their religion. All you can hear is their words. Then I think people could actually vote for what we need.
Ok..I'm done..for now!
Go Mitt.

Since Easter is on it's way, do you know what that means?
It means Cadbury brings out their mini eggs!
You know those yummy little chocolate morsels with the little hard shell over them?
THOSE!
They only come out ONCE a year and it's at Easter.
I was informed that they come out at Christmas time now!
YES!!
Anyway, I love them.
mmmm...

Healing.

It has been pretty busy around here.
I worked four, 14 hour shifts at work and then a 4 hour shift.
Can I just tell you I was exhausted all day yesterday and I still feel like I am recovering today.
Work was super crazy. SUPER crazy, but I guess that is all to be expected when you work for the airlines.
On Saturday, I was at work ..Husband severely sprained his ankle.
playing basketball...
They said that if it doesn't get better in the next week or so we need to go back for another x-ray to make sure no bones are fractured.
So..he has been having fun they last couple of days. Literally in a sense, but not so much in the same way.
He is in a lot of pain, but he also has me catering to him.
I think he might be enjoying it a little too much.
Although he is home and in pain, I'm glad to have him home with me. I feel like life has been going a million miles and hour lately and it was good to have him here. It seems like a blessing in disguise. We both really enjoyed just being able to sit and be together.

Also it has been two weeks since I cut my hair and I am happy to say that I don't regret it...yet.
Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.
I have been quite enjoying the change.
Plus, husband LOVES it. Which makes my decision about it a lot better.

Well that has been the Carlton's lately. Work and a broken ankle.
We will be doing a lot of healing the next couple days.
Boring I know, but so needed.

Valentine's Day

Well, I sure can tell all of you that I had quite the eventful Valentines Day.
Maybe...more like traumatic in way.
Don't worry, it was still super great and everything is all good here!

Husband brought me the cutest flowers, I just loved them.
He signed the card "To my ONLY ETERNAL Valentine!"
Isn't that just precious?
He is so sweet.
Because of how crazy every place to eat at is crazy on Valentines night we are going out tonight for dinner! He also took off work to be with me today! Which worked out really nicely...last night I got really bad acid reflux or what I think it is anyway and I have been kind of recovering today. I think my throat is burning out and it hurts!

Now for the traumatic part of my Valentines Day...
Well, for the last couple of months now I have contemplating on cutting my hair.
I told myself I can't cut my hair until I get married, so originally I thought my hair would be dragging on the floor, but Husband saved me from that.
I have always wanted to donate my hair to Locks of Love, but I am one of those people that keeps cutting their hair, but I finally got it long enough to donate...only problem, it is like my baby.
I worked so hard on growing it out and taking care of it.
BUT...
after a LOT of thought, I felt like I was being materialistic in way with my hair.
there is someone out there that doesn't have any hair and would kill for even a little bit.
So, I CUT my hair and donated it.
Trust me people, it killed me. I LOVED my hair.
but, I don't regret it.
I hope it goes to good use and someone out there can feel better about themselves and have more confidence.

I cut off 16 inches in total. I donated about 14 inches.
Don't worry, Husband LOVES it.
It's almost ridiculous :)
I'm so glad.

buh-bye

pretty flowers from Husband.

Don't mind the fly-aways....
saying goodbye before I send it off...

Seven. Good Number.

Seven is quite a good number.
When Husband and I first started dating he asked me why I always pick the number 7 and to be honest I didn't really know. I always exaggerated things like... I took a 700 hour nap or there were seven hundred million people there. You know things like that.
He told me that 7 was his number.
Totally connected right? :)
Well today we have been married for SEVEN incredibly, wonderful months!
Holla!

That's all I really wanted to say.

Carlton's out.

Movie Picker.

I would just like to announce that I hooked my niece on "The Grinch"...You can't tell me that this isn't great news? I got to tend her again the other day and my sister said I packed her some different movies so that you don't have to watch the Grinch anymore.
If it were around Christmas, I would not have a problem with this....
Anyway, I asked my sister "She STILL asks to watch that?" and my sister said "Yes, everyday. She says Grinch."
Sure enough when I got her back to our home I asked her what she wanted to watch and she said "Grinch"...haha I'm goooooood!
It's ok though..I got her a new movie...
Who remembers "We're Back"?
It's an animated one about dinosaurs that eat brain grain and become nice and are transported in time to help a couple kids and their wishes...Anybody? Anybody?...It's awesome.
She loved it, try 6 times loved it.
..............

What can I say the girl likes her movies.
I just so happen to like them too.
Perfect.

While on the subject of movies and tv watching...
Husband loves the office, I never got into until he started to watch it on Netflix and can I just tell everyone to watch the episode called "Gossip" at least the first like 5 or 10 minutes of it. You will not be disappointed. I promise!
Hint: Michael, Dwight, and Andy try their hand at parkour...
Jim say's "Parkour is getting from point A to point B in the most creative way possible...so technically they are doing parkour if point A is delusion and point B is the hospital."
Even if you're not a fan, just trust me.

Maybe Next Time?

I'm thinking that there should be another Super Bowl.
You know, like a re-do Super Bowl.
With 2 different teams, since there is was no way for the Pats and Giants to lose.
Seriously, 2007 was enough of those two teams for me.
If I rated all the teams in the NFL, the Pats and the Giants are my bottom two.
Except they both tie for last place.
I couldn't even pick one last night to go for. I just sat there. It was sad. I love football and for that game to be the last game until next season really SUCKED.
Anyway, hopefully the next Super Bowl will be worth watching.

I did, however, enjoy a couple of the commercials.
My favorite would have to be the M&M one.
Where they are naked...well, the red one is and dances to "I'm sexy and I know it....Wiggle it."
Funny.
Husband and I also really enjoyed the Doritos one with the dog bribing the guy with Doritos. The baby slingshot one was pretty good too.

About the half-time show. It was not my favorite, but it was better than the Black Eyed Peas last year. I fell asleep during that one. Plus, I kind of really like Nicki Minaj. Don't judge me.
She's awesome.

Fun fact : Husband was home for the Super Bowl last year and he watched it with me. Yes, we both fell asleep during half-time. I would say it was maybe like our second date-ish...kind of. :)
