Alaska Pictures...

Alright, I found the camera! Enjoy a select few of our pictures and on little video clip of me gettin blown away from our cruise! I hope our wedding pictures come soon. I want to see them so bad! Enjoy! Sorry the video posted twice and when I try to remove one they both get deleted...so...Yeah. Sorry.

If you like Nutella..You would LOVE this ice cream...It's Nutella ice cream. Ha.

At Dinner... They sang "Happy Honeymoon" just like "Happy Birthday" it was awesome!

These are the same bird symbols that Anthony gave to me from alaska when he proposed. They symbolize marriage.

This is Alaska's Capital building...weird right?

 Deer Butt.

Watching whales from the Skywalkers Deck!

Mile long Glacier at Glacier Bay.

Salmon..King Salmon I believe. Don't worry they are not full grown yet.

 Eagles!!

 We took lots of naps...

There were out servers the entire cruise- Sim & Johanna. They were awesome!

It was a bit windy here, that's why my hair looks so attractive.

So that was just a few of the pictures from our honeymoon. A lot of them are of the outdoors and stuff, but trust me these pictures do not do Alaska justice! It is sooooo BEAUTIFUL!

Crossing My Mind...

1. For the last couple of days I've been up to quite a few things.
Which I would say mostly consisted of laundry. A lot of laundry.
It's crazy to not only have my clothes and such, but to have Anthony's thrown in there as well.
I'm not complaining in anyway, I found it quite entertaining.
I'm weird. It's fine.

2. We also got our furniture that my parents gave to us as a wedding present.
It's beautiful! I have pictures, that are also on that misplaced camera.
Sorry folks, I'll find it!
We got a bed (that has a canopy), bed-side desk with drawers, A tall dresser drawers and a big one with a mirror, also an amazing mattress! It's been great to finally organize our stuff.
When we got home from our cruise we arranged it the best we could and put our bed together.
Well..mostly Anthony did, but I did help. I'm Bob the builder!
We are so thankful to my dad for this furniture, it's amazing and will last us a long time!
Thanks Dad!

3. I wanted to mention, but I keep forgetting that the background on our blog is the city skyline of
Melbourne, Australia :)
Yes, that is really what it looks like at night. Beautiful.
Now, you all don't have to think I'm crazy for just having a city as the background.
I would think it's weird anyway, but it does have meaning!

4. I am STILL getting use to the "husband" thing when I talk about him.
It's quite lovely though. Which brings me to little story about our cruise.
While we were on the boat and at breakfast we shared a table with a guy and when I came to sit down Anthony said "this is my fianc- WIFE..." haha and the guy was shocked
at the word wife I'm sure! Anthony couldn't believe he did that
or almost did that, since he didn't completely say "fiancee"

5. Also, I am looking for either another job or a whole new job, so if anyone knows anything, let me know.
Please and thank you!
Also Anthony and I are getting ready to go back to school.
Not so weird for me, but quite weird for him.
I had to send in his application, and do all his registration. It's fun.
We are also wanting to apply for fafsa, but have to wait for our marriage license.
I know we should have gotten it by now, but know..it actually got shredded so they had to issue a whole new one and blah blah, but no worries people we are lawfully wed!
It's a really fun waiting game. Try it some time.

6.My sister and her family move back to Utah in like 2 weeks! Holla!
You have no idea how excited I am to have my sister back here. She always gives me the best advice and she is super fun to work out with and trust me, I need me some motivation!
I should really do a birthday shout-out!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER!
26 years young (sorry if I'm not allowed to disclose your age)
I love you! and hurry home.

7. I am so sad about the Dallas Cowboys cutting my favorite player, Marion Barber. I am also sad about them cutting Roy Williams. This season is going to be different without them on the team.
On a lighter note, I am so super glad that the NFL lockout is over!
I'm so excited for football season!!

8. Thank you's are more than deserved to everyone who was involved with our wedding and also to those who came. It means a lot to us, to have that support.
A HUGE thanks to Anthony's parents for offering to let us use their house/yard.
It was so beautiful. It took work to get it ready, but it was worth it. To me.
Everything was perfect and I am truly grateful to them for all of their help and support...and love.
They are the most selfless, loving people.
They are an awesome family and I love them all very much.
Also thank you to Anthony's cousin Lu, She did all the flowers and such! Which were
AMAZING, beyond amazing!
Also Thanks to Creed. He was an errand runner, light hanger, he did anything and everything!

I'm sorry, I'm just talking away with all these little random-isms.
They are just a few thoughts that have crossed my mind and I didn't want to give each of them their very own post. That would be ridiculous. Right?
Ok. I'm done. For now.
Bye.

Alaska Adventure...

The honeymooners made it back safe and sound Saturday evening from our wonderful Alaska cruise! If you have not been on a cruise, we would highly recommend trying one. It is the most relaxing way to travel, everything is taken care of, they treat you like royalty..basically. We don't want to travel any other way again.

While thinking of Alaska, I'm sure the picture that come to your mind is like 1,000 feet of snow and polar bears running around everywhere...Ok, maybe not to that extent, but you get the idea. Well it wasn't anything like that, sadly (about the polar bear part). It was certainly beautiful, AMAZINGLY beautiful! I have pictures, don't worry. I just have misplaced my camera for the time being. Anyway, it was awesome. Our first port of call was Juneau, Alaska. Which is a cool like town. Their capital building weirded me out a little bit. Our second port of call was Skagway, Alaska. Weird names, huh? This was another little cool town, with wood board sidewalks. Reminded me of like Dr. Quinn times or something. Then our third port of call was Ketchikan, Alaska. This town was a bit bigger and probably my favorite, not because it was bigger, but it was so beautiful. We got to see an awesome sunset..even though it didn't happen till after 10pm! and the sunrise was before 4am...It was crazy! Alright, and for our last port of call it was Victoria, BC, Canada. We left the country for like a whole 4 hours! Wow! haha. It was great. I can check Alaska off the places I've visited, woohoo. I'll work on finding the camera and getting pictures up ASAP!

I guess I should also add that right before we left on July 14th we had our 2nd reception! It was awesome to see more friends and family! There were quite a few that came that I had not seen in YEARS! It was awesome! I love you all :)

If You Wanna Know What's Weird...I'll Tell You..

Anthony and I have been married for almost 4 whole days. Yeah, seriously. It's been fun getting to see him everyday and every night. Getting the kiss before he goes to work and the "see you tonight" always puts a smile on my face :) I know, you all are waiting for what the weird part is, right? Well, it's the whole husband and wife title. Yesterday, I had to make a phone call to get our furniture delivered and I had to say "My HUSBAND and I" haha...It was weird to say that. Then also yesterday, we went out to eat with Creed and some other friends that they both know and when Anthony went to introduce me it was "This is my WIFE, Desiree." Weird huh? Both of us must of had like a shocked face cuz everyone started laughing! I like it though. I love when I get called his wife:) I guess it's the same thing from going to girlfriend to fiancee...That was pretty weird as well, but awesome:)

On Monday, Anthony and I had our very first Family Home Evening together as a new little family! Guess what we did? Watch the homerun derby of course :) and read...no worries:) We are trying to get onto a good schedule with reading the Book of Mormon and FHE and going to the temple..It's starting out a little hectic, but we are determined to be consistent! This week is still pretty crazy, getting ready for the second reception and getting ready to leave for our cruise!! Yay! We are very excited! Well, there is a little update, but more thoughts on how the first few days of married life have been for us!

Mr. & Mrs. Carlton...

                                                            The Newest Carlton Family

We are officially Mr. and Mrs. Carlton...Finally! haha. It is so weird to hear the word wife or husband to be referred to towards Anthony and I. It awesome to be married and I am so happy, but it still doesn't seem real, but it is. Our wedding was so amazing and so beautiful! It went by way too fast. The day was over before we knew it! Also it was suppose to be thunderstorms all day on Saturday, but it didn't at all..just a very slight sprinkle that felt lovely and cool compared to the rest of the day and it also brought us a rainbow! That has to be a good sign! The Manti Temple was beautiful and getting married there was so special! It was awesome to walk out of there and see a lot of our friends and family out there! I can't wait to get pictures back to post them! Anyway, it was an awesome day and I'm still the most blessed girl to be married to Anthony! What a sweet husband :)

Final Countdown!...

That's right people. It is now time for the final countdown! 1 DAY until Anthony and I get married! Holy Cow! It is so crazy! I finally got my dress last night and the lady did such a good job! Everything on it looks great, I'm so excited! In my final fitting yesterday at her house it kind of made it more real, that I am actually getting married! Yay! I still feel like it has not hit me yet though..maybe it has, but I don't think it will until tomorrow morning on my way to the temple! Anyway..This morning as in like an hour my friend Elicia is going to take some pictures of me in my wedding dress so that I can have a couple bridals done for the reception tomorrow night! Bah..That is so weird to say tomorrow! I am so use to saying two weeks or next Saturday, ya know, but no..TOMORROW is the day! I couldn't be more excited! I hope everything goes well and no major mishaps happen, but really..as long as Anthony and I both make it to the temple and get married I will be one, extremely, happy camper:) Yesterday and Wednesday I was just running errands like crazy..Picking stuff up here and dropping things off here, getting this and getting that! Yesterday I got my nails done and they look so pretty! Today my friend Sami is going to be doing my eyelashes, hopefully. If I can make it over there! Also on Wednesday Jacqueline and I probably did one of the most painfully things ever and I would not recommend it. EVER! haha. Anyway, that's my current status, running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. haha I just pray things go well tomorrow and everyone has a wonderful time. I am so excited to be Mr. & Mrs. Carlton! ONE DAY, ONE DAY....

Crunch Time...

The wedding is only 4 DAYS away! It is so close, but the days are going by so slow. I just want to be married already! We have a lot to do this next week though..Such as: get my dress, find a hair piece to go with my dress, exchange his ring for the correct size (his ring is quite awesome by the way), get my hair done and my nails done,  I'm even thinking my eyelashes! There are just so many little details here and there that we need to get to done! We are suppose to get some pictures done, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to allow it! which makes me so sad, but what can ya do? I guess I should also add that my sister and sweet baby niece arrived here last night!! I was shocked to see how much Kaylee has grown! She is like a little person now...She even snuggled up to Anthony, it was so precious! This last weekend was the Fourth of July weekend, so...Happy 4th everyone! It was a pretty good weekend, just more prep for the wedding and hanging out with Anthony and his family! I hope Saturday gets here fast and I hope I can get all my errands done! :) Well..here we go! :)

I'm Going There Someday...

Bountiful Temple, right after we got out:)
Well...What can I say about my first Temple experience? Not a whole lot, obviously. It was what everyone said it was going to be. Weird, beautiful, peaceful, awesome. Ya know, all those kind of things. I definitely enjoyed it and am looking forward to going back! When we were all done Anthony came up to me and said "Well, this what you have been waiting your whole life for...You know the primary song." (I love to see the Temple) and after he said that I sang it in my mind. I love to see the Temple. I'm going there someday. That someday was yesterday and it is crazy to think that I was actually there. It was kind of surreal. I also realized that the Temple is the only place to be married and I'm so glad that I am worthy to be able to enter the Temple and soon be sealed to Anthony. If people only knew what it was like to be in the Temple they wouldn't have a doubt in their mind that it is the only place to be married. It is amazing! It was also Anthony's first time going through the Bountiful Temple. I for got to ask him what he thought, so I'll have to get back to you on that one. I think he might be a little partial to the Manti Temple ;) Anyway it was awesome night with Anthony and our families!

Also, one of my good, good friends Max was in the session I went through. I went up and gave him a hug and then he wanted to meet Anthony and thats when Anthony realized that they were in the MTC at the same time and Max had actually been his zone leader there, but they weren't in the same mission! What a small world! Anyway it was so good to see Max, especially in the Temple!

I must say this...I can't believe that it is already July! Time really does fly, but for some reason I feel like this next week is going to drag on and on. Probably cuz I am so excited for something. :) I got lots and lots of things to do, small things to get ready for the wedding, my wedding. Deep breath Desiree. Ready, set, go! 8 Days! Thats right 8! Single digits!
