Bad Week.

It has been a crazy, not so fun week.
On Monday, May 20, 2013 my sweet dad was in a car accident and passed away.
It still does not seem real and I wish it weren't real.
Monday night, my uncle Bryan was trying to get a hold of my mom.
After doing so he went to my moms house, where my sister and I met her.
After receiving the news, there were a lot of tears and questions.
I think after the initial shock we all went into a numb phase.
We had to so we could get the funeral planned.
It is just so weird and the whole week was extremely weird.
There is going to be a new normal for our family.
Just the girls.
Weird.
The services for my dad were on Friday.
They were so wonderful.
I felt dumb when it was my turn, but everyone did so good.
I really hope my dad was proud.
He only deserved the best!
I would just like to thank everyone for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers.
They helped and are still helping us get through this difficult time.
Also, thank you to all those who have helped us and supported us, especially my dear mom.
All the love at the services for my dad and the celebration of his life were much appreciated!
We have been so blessed with all of you in our lives.
I know Heavenly Father needed my dad.
I know my dad is doing great works on the other side.
I know that my dad is now free of his daily pain and is happy in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
I am so thankful for the blessing and the ability to have an eternal family.
I am so blessed to have my dad watching over me everyday.
And that he will ALWAYS be my dad.
Although I am sad my dad will not be on this earth to see my children and participate in giving them their baby blessing, I am grateful he was able to see me get sealed to my wonderful, eternal companion.
I love my dad so much and I miss him more than I can begin to explain.
He was and still is the best dad!

My Mommy Dearest.

So, I should have posted this on Sunday or even yesterday, but I didn't.
I did not forget though!
While some of you call it Mother's Day, I call it Mommy Dearest Day.
Inside joke, really. If you have seen the movie Mommy Dearest then you might get it.
Don't worry I am allowed to use wire hangers to hang my clothes.
Just another reason why I have the best Mother in the world.
Plus, we can laugh and laugh all day long.
We have the same humor.
It's pretty hilarious!
That's why working with her was so much fun!
That is probably why I was born in 12 minutes.
We get it done.
Everyone says they have the best mom, but I don't see how they can get any better than mine.
It's not possible.
Go to Europe with her and see how much fun you have.
She can even speak a little French now.
Or go to the airport, that in itself can be super fun.
I mean does your mom let you do the splits across the moving sidewalk rails?
Even when you are 20 years old.
Or go to Australia all by yourself!
And we take funny pictures.

Eight.

Technically our Sako is 9 weeks old, but these are pictures when he was 8 weeks old.
We had a check up for his ears yesterday and he is 18.6 pounds!
When we got him on April 7th he was 12 pounds.
It is safe to say that he is growing like a weed.
He also got his shots, but that didn't even phase him.
Yes, he sleeping in almost all of them, but he is a growing boy.
Plus, I couldn't turn down a snuggle moment.
Also, look how long his legs are and how big his paws are.
He is so handsome I can't even stand it.
We love him!
