Night Out.

Now that I have Monday's off with my new schedule I was actually able to be home for Family Home Evening!  So, to make it extra special we decided for FHE last night that we were going to go to Temple Square lights! One of my most favorite things to do during the holiday season!
It was more of Husbands idea, he knows how much I love that place.
It is so weird, last year I went with my good friend Gabi and we had this huge conversation about Anthony, who would be coming home from his mission in a month.
Now this year I got to go with Anthony and he is my husband...Just crazy, but oh so perfect!
Anyway back to FHE, as part of it we took the Trax there from the Sandy Civic Center. It was pretty fun.
Creed took a girl named Ally and it was her first time on Trax and she was having a ball and then Anthony's sister, Aubrey came with us.

When we first arrived at Temple Square we got some hot chocolate, yummy. Then made our way to see the lights and things. Well, I was. Husband was more of looking out for sister missionaries with Australian flag tags below their badges and believe me when they found them Creed and him talked and talked and talked....and talked.
The lights are SO beautiful! My favorite is the reflections pool with the floating candles.
We went up there and to the exact spot that Husband proposed at, precious right?
We may have even re-enacted it, a lil bit...Don't judge.
After the lights we took the trax back to our car, but we didn't get back in time to go to Outback Steakhouse (mostly because of the talking) , so we went to Chili's...haha :)
We took pictures, but they are all on Creeds camera...Anyway,
It was so fun. I am so thankful to have such a beautiful place so close to us.
It is truly amazing.
I am also thankful that I was able to go with Husband.
It literally was a dream come true.

As for right now, I'm watching the Grinch with my Niece.
What a good way to start my day.
Don't you agree?

Tomorrow is the last day of November.
Time is just flying and I am getting worse at blogging.
I blame it on work.

Babies and Thanksgiving.

Husband and I got some news yesterday...
Can any of you guess what it might be?
........
Alright, I will just tell you.
We got a calling in our new ward.
We are Nursery Teachers or Workers or whatever.
Ask husband how he feels about it? Go ahead ask him.
I can tell you I am excited, because I love babies and little toddlers.
I have heard some horror stories from there, but I think you get those with any calling you are given, right?
My new work schedule makes me work on Sundays :( Believe me, I am NOT happy about it, but I think I have worked something out so that I can make it to church most of the time, I hope.
Even though this is going to be new to both of us, we are excited to have our first calling together and to receive the blessings, aaaaaand to see all those sweet babies:)
I was told a few times at work that they are just preparing us to have kids, but if you think about it....It could possibly scare us out of having them for a loooooong time. ha

Now, for Thanksgiving.
Husband and I went down to Kanosh.
Grandma and Grandpa B live down there.
All of his family came down to celebrate Thanksgiving and his grandparents 50th Wedding anniversary!
That's a pretty cool achievement, especially these days when the rate of divorce is pretty high.
It was so special to be able to be there and share that with them.
We had a family picture with everyone and it was awesome to see the whole group, kids, grand kids, great-grand kids, the whole lot of them. We were all there because of those two people. Including me in a way, because without them there wouldn't be Anthony.
I am so glad that there is, obviously.
I'm very thankful for family, my family and my new family.
I'm very thankful for Husband, he's quite precious.
I am thankful for my health and my job (even though I have to work on sundays)
I'm thankful for my knowledge of things on this Earth and Eternal Families.
There is so much to be thankful for and  I am.
I'm very blessed and I'm very happy.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Husband and his Aussie fix

This last weekend Husband and I were able to go to Elder Watts homecoming.
It was a lot of fun and so good to meet quite a few of the people Husband was serving with while on his mission. I heard lot's of stories..bawahaha.. ;)
Husband had so much fun catching up with them all and reminiscent in some of the memories of Australia.
The homecoming was up in Logan as I previously mentioned and we went up Saturday afternoon and got a hotel and hung out with Elder Jones and a couple others.
It was nice to get away...again (even though it was just Logan)
After Elder Watts' homecoming and the little luncheon thing, we headed for home.
On the way home Husband said that it was probably Elder Elliots homecoming as well and he lives in Kaysville...Perfect! Since it is on our way home! So we stopped in at his house, we times it perfectly they were all just coming home from Church. I was the first one Elder Elliot saw and you could tell he was confused, he had NO idea who I was. That's when Husband popped around the corner and Elder Elliot flipped with excitement..Literally, kinda...He jumped really high. :)
Elder Elliot is a missionary Husband trained out there in Australia.
It was precious to see how excited he was and Husband.

While on the subject of Australia, We were able to go to dinner and hang out with The Williams. They are from Australia and Luke Williams was one of Husbands ward mission leaders. Him and his wife are over here on holiday. We went to Temple Square and watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir practice and then we went to Chili's and then we went to Wal-Mart. Luke's wife had never been there, but had heard about it so they wanted to go, plus they had to get another memory card for their camera.
Anyway, it was super fun and it was the first time Husband and I have been back to Temple Square since we got engaged..
Awwww!! I know, right?
It was a good night with Husband and the Williams
I hope Husband has had enough Aussie to get him through until we can actually get back over there.
Please bless.

Big shout out to my mom for work the last part of my shift so that I could go with Husband and the Williams.
Thanks Mommy Dearest!!

Well Folks, that's all for now until the Thanksgiving update.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Grinch Fix

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving.
I'm really excited to eat all that yummy food.
Thanksgiving is less than a week away and I have no idea where November has gone.
It has just flown by. Which is kind of sad.
I hope this whole holiday season doesn't just fly by, but we are one day closer to Temple Square lights!! I'm really excited for those.

This week has been pretty normal. Work, work and more work.
EXCEPT! Husband bought me The Grinch, because mine is at my parents. Isn't that so nice. I could watch that movie all day. No joke ask Husband.
Jim Carrey is a genius in his role as the Grinch.
I could probably say that is my favorite movie or at least in the top 3.
Since I can only watch it 2 months out of the year, I watch it as much as I possibly can and as much as husband will possibly let me.
Yesterday before leaving to work he said, "Babe, don't ware out the Grinch dvd, I want to watch it too."
haha...I might like it THAT much.

Last night, we watched it as well as Christmas Vacation with Chevvy Chase.
Husband had never seen it before so it was fun to watch that with him, it's pretty funny.

This weekend we are heading to Logan to go to Husband's last companion in the missions homecoming as well as hanging out with his trainer from his mission (Elder Jones) recognize that name? Yep thats right it is the same one that was with Husband when I met him in Australia.

Well, thats basically all for now.
I have to get my Grinch fix for the day..

Happy Weekend!!

Oklahoma.

This weekend we went to Oklahoma.
If you can't tell by the title of this post.

We flew into Oklahoma City and then we had a fun 2 1/1 hour drive to Altus Air Force Base, literally it was fun...look at the car we got. :)
(Brand new Dodge Charger)
We went out there to see Anthony's cousin who is a pilot in the Air Force.
He gave us an AWESOME tour of the base and got us to see simulators and on an actual C-17. We got to go inside and sit in the cockpit and everything and open the back loading ramp, It was really so cool.
Even though those planes make my sweet Air Buses look like little itty bitty guys.

We also made a goal, that wherever we go we are going to go see the nearest temple.
so, we went to the Oklahoma City Temple on our way back to the Airport.
It's SO SMALL, but pretty.

With all that we saw this weekend we have a lot of thinking, praying, and pondering.
But it was a great experience.
We can't wait for our next trip!!

News And Things.

Today is the 9th and we ALL know that means, right?
It means I have to announce that husband and I have been married for FOUR months...or 16 weeks. Today I reminded him of one of his letters he sent me that said "only 16 more weeks left until I come home."
Now we're married, precious!
Anyway, if things go well we are off on and adventure this weekend.
Let's hope we can make it.

I have a confession for the week.
I have already started listening to Christmas music.
I'm not ashamed, it's lovely and makes me so excited for the holiday season to begin.
but no worries I will not decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but watching The Grinch and listening to Christmas music is more than allowed in my book.

Alright down to business.
The pictures below, yes..I actually have pictures!
They are of some things from my job.
In the first picture that is me getting ready to push back the plane, it saves fuel, or something.
Anyway, it is scary, but so cool at the same time.
You push it all the way back and then you have to turn it.
Sounds easy right, WRONG! It is a lot more difficult that it sounds or even looks.
Plus, you have to keep in mind that it is only a multi-million dollar aircraft with 168+ lives in my hands.
It's pretty serious. ha.
They tell me it is really fun today in the snow and ice.
I think they might be pulling my leg.. hmm..

The other ones are just views from the pit, thats where we put the bags under the plane, things look smaller from up there, but don't let the pictures fool you, those engines are big. I could stand up in them. COULD, never have, mostly cause I can't and would get in a LOT of trouble. ha.

Well, I hope you enjoy the pictures and some little adventures of working for the airlines.

Stop in again!

Bye.

Getting ready to push back the plane.

Waiting in the pit under the plane for more bags.

My view from the pit, you should see the city at night from here, it's pretty cool!

Umm, The engine, don't worry it's giant.

That's what the push back vehicle looks like...

Happy Halloween...Oh Wait.

November.
Where did November come from? Where did October go?
I'm getting a little confused with how fast time is moving.
I wish I had a fun Halloween post to put on here, but I had to work, go figure. Right?
Can I just say I am so glad winter didn't start in October (knock on wood). It does that sometimes and it is way too early, plus it ruins trick-or-treating for all those little kids.
Anyway, I hope winter can hold off a little bit longer. Although, we are getting some scares here. I'm not ready for snow, the driving in it, WORKING in it. Boo.
I am excited for November it begins the "Holiday Season", you know that fun special feeling you get. I love that and you start to see lights go up and the Christmas movies..
The Grinch!!!
I asked husband if we could watch it last night, but I was reminded it is still at my parents house, Boo!
I am also excited for Temple Square!
I talked to my friend Gabi about this the other day, we went last year together and talked about that missionary that was coming home (Husband)...Crazy :)
I am excited to get to go with Husband this year, it will be so precious!
Lots of first for us this year and believe me I am going to blog about ALL of them.

Also, Husband and Creed are going to be participating in No-Shave November.
Oh boy, Husband is going to have some scruffles!
Don't tell him, but I am kind of excited to see it, I already love his little scruffles on his chin :)
Everyone be prepared! They're gonna get hairy!
It's only day 4.

Last night, Husband made me a smoothie, isn't that so sweet?
It was so yummy :)
AND we snuggled!
Did I mention we have the WHOLE weekend to ourselves?
We do, except Sunday, I have to work. Lame.

We have been in our new place for a month now and it is GRAND!
It getting to be so darling.
I think husband thinks it is getting to be a little much, but it's ok. It looks good:)
I never thought I would live in Utah County, but here I am in good ole' Utah County!

Well, I think that is about all we have going on that is new with the Carltons!

Over and out
