Pretty Bird.

I don't even know where to start, it's been a minute...plus a couple.
We're still here.
I don't know why I don't post more often about the dinners I make.
I promise I feed sweet Husband.
But, last night I finally remembered to actually take a picture of it.
I mean you can't post a recipe or tell about what you made without a picture, right?
Anyway, last night I made green chile enchilada casserole!
It was so yummy...
Se the picture, maybe it doesn't look to good, but it tasted delicious.
I also made these little desserts, but forgot to take a picture of those, my bad.
They were rolls with melted mallows and cinnamon sugar!
ok, moving on....

Next up, Husband and I went with his cousin Lu to the Easton Corbin concert on Tuesday.
I hadn't heard too much about him or even sure if I have heard some of his songs, but I must say his concert was pretty sweet. I might just be a fan now.
The concert was small and only an hour long, but it was perfect just to relax and be with Husband.
Thanks Lu!

Alright, last but not least. Husband found a bird. A parakeet to be exact.
It was at the shop, where they keep all of their equipment for work and such.
It was just hoppin' around and Husband put his hand down and he jumped right in.
He brought him home and I went and got him a little cage and some food. I thought he had been lost for days, he didn't stop eating!
He was pretty nice, until recently he doesn't want to come out of his cage!
LAME!
Anyway, Husband DID knock on doors around the shop to see if anyone was missing their bird, but no luck.
He is clipped so he can just flutter, not fly.
He will soon be at his new home with Husband's sister, Abby!

Alright, that was not really the last thing.
With the Olympics being on, which I LOVE.
especially gymnastics, it makes me miss tumbling, a lot.
This picture was me putting on a 7 year old, size leotard at tumbling with on of my best friends.
Don't worry, they are really stretchy, you should have seen me tumble in it.
Wow. Awkward.
 Anyway, I miss tumbling.

ONE MORE
My sister had her birthday on July 24th and I meant to post this, then, but..yeah.
Happy Birthday, Marissa!
27 years young!
Have another baby...please.
Yes, I am the one with the blonde hair.

Down With The Sickness.

First of all, I would like to say that I loved the rain storm yesterday evening!
I'm not the one to say that, especially in the summer.
I hate wasting a day of my precious, warming sun!
But...It was lovely and we did NEED it.

Next up.
HFMD. I don't like it.
HFMD = hand-foot-mouth disease.
It has been going around Utah, I know that and my cute little sister-in-laws and brother-in-law got it. Totally sucks, right? RIGHT!
You basically get a HIGH fever, chills, body aches, head ache, and stiffness.
Oh and sores/blisters on your hands, feet, and mouth/ throat.
And yes, they hurt.

On thursday night, Husband and I went to the Ute Stampede down in Nephi to watch his cousin ride in the royalty thing they do at the start.
That's when it began, I started to get a head ache and a sore throat and just felt icky.
by the time we got home I had a pretty high fever and I was burning up all night and I felt like I was laying there forever waiting for my alarm clock to go off so I could get up for work.
It finally did.
I still had a high fever and I was so achy and sore, but I still went to work.
Probably should have listen to husband and called in sick, but...I didn't.
That went on the whole day, I felt like my fever only got worse and continued to the next day.
On Sunday I finally woke up and felt better...Except I started getting sores on my hands and feet and figured that must be what is making my throat hurt.
We both thought I had something else cuz everyone else got their sores and blisters alot faster than I did.
And here I am...I can't tell if they are healing or still coming on..
I hear it is just about a week thing, so hopefully recovery is just around the corner.

Husband has been so good to me this last weekend.
He has taken such good care of me.
He made sure I was comfortable and worried about me and loved me!
He called me at work to make sure I was ok.
He let me lay by him on the couch and watched Modern Family with me.
Carried me to bed and couch, cuz it hurts to walk.
Anything I needed, he was there:)
Thanks Husband, I luh you.

Also, Thank you to my mom for helping me out at work and taking care of me there!
You are the best mom ever.
Love you!

One Year.

On July 9, 2011, I was married and sealed to my best friend.
For the last year we have been making and starting our lives as eternal companions.
I couldn't ask for a better husband.
He is absolutely everything I need and could ever want.
I adore with all my heart and soul.
I am so thankful for all that he does for am and teaches me every single day.
He completes me and together we will be able to complete our eternal family.
You know..One day.

I can remember our wedding day like it was yesterday.
I remember it perfectly.
I remember driving with him to go to the temple, just us two.
I remember sitting in the brides dressing room, waiting to be called to go to the sealing room with husband.
I remember seeing him the first time and kneeling across the alter and holding hands.
I remember the look in his eyes and our kiss as husband and wife.
I remember getting in my dress.
I remember walking around the corner before walking out of the temple and seeing husbands face the first time he saw me in my dress and my mother in law handing me my bouquet and telling me my dress is beautiful and husband kissing me on the cheek.
I remember walking out the doors and hearing all the cheers and seeing all the tears of joy.
I remember every sound, sight, smell.
It was the perfect day and I was with the most perfect guy.

The last year has been the best year of my life, definitely not the easiest.
I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I guess the thing to say is, I can't believe it's been a year, but I can. It has been a year. It did go by fast, but it still feels like the right amount of time.
I don't mean it in a bad way, but I am sure I will be able to say I can't believe it's been 4 years or whatever when we have kids, but it has just been us two and so lovely.
Right now we are a bit stuck with some decisions, so that could factor into it as well.

Well, Happy Anniversary to us!
It's been a good year.
We are so blessed!

Oh an sorry the pictures are out of order.
it is just fun to look back at them:)

Walking out of the temple for our first appearance as Mr. & Mrs. Carlton!

4th Of July.

cute husband getting ready for his first wake ride of the season!
For the 4th of July, Husband and I went boating with the Carlton's.
It was so much fun and the perfect day for boating.
We went down to Fairview the night of the 3rd after work and got up super early on the 4th to get the boat all ready to go.
We headed to Yuba, again.
The water was perfect that the boys were actually able to get some wake boarding in this time.
Of course, there was tubing.
Also, I am not good at motion picture taking apparently...I tried and tried to get Husbands tricks, but I kept missing them or taking the picture to early.
The pictures of the wake boarders are Husband and Aubrey (husband younger sister) boyfriend DJ.
It was an awesome day and I am so glad that it was in the middle of the week so I could actually be there and to be with family.
Although, I talk about how much we love Australia, we do LOVE the USA.
It's our home!
With the elections coming up I hope we still can have the freedoms we enjoy today.
They say they are protected, but you never know.
To lose any of the freedoms and rights we have would be a waste of all the wars and fighting that went on to gain them, throughout history.
Anyway, I'm proud to be an American.

Drive, Wedding, Fire, & Things.

Alright, it is TIME for an update I'd say.
Well, there is not much to tell, but there are a couple things.
Beside working our guts out.
We have been busy with getting things ready for Austin's wedding. (Husband's younger brother)
Trying to spend some time together, when we get a chance.
One boating trip.
and some super fun drives.
and trying to help family out with anything they need while there is a fire, almost literally in their front yard.

I guess I will begin with...Our drives.
Whenever we can get a second just to be with each other, we like to take a drive.
whether it's to see what houses are for sale, just to put some petrol in the car, run to the store, or simply just for the sake of being together.
It's relaxing to just sit and have conversation.
and you know sometimes snuggle up against his shoulder.
The picture below is of a beautiful sunset we saw the other day on one of our Sunday drives.
Beautiful.

Last Friday, Husband's little brother, Austin married his girlfriend of over 2 years.
It was a beautiful ceremony.
I am so happy for them.
It was a lot of work getting everything ready, but so far seems like it was worth it.
They left for their honeymoon the next day, but Austin got very sick with the flu and they were home monday night. Sad right?
I am glad the both made the commitment to be wed and to love each other for the rest of their lives, I pray that this next year that they will be able to reach their goal of going to the temple and to be blessed with a marriage that is eternal. Not just for an eternal companionship, but also for an eternal family.
Congrats you guys. We love you.

The day after the wedding, so saturday. We got the boat ready and headed to the lake. Lake yuba to be exact. On the way there, everything was beautiful, peaceful and calm.
On the way home driving back through Nephi, Moroni and fountain green and so on.
There was this small fire. Maybe just like 10 acres or so...ok so that is still big, but compared to what it is now, it was small. We could see the smoke and finally passed the fire and it was just burning and there was a single cop car, we think trying to get some help because he was on the phone.
We figured it would be contained, but by the time we got back to the Carlton's it had already grown and every hour after that it was getting bigger and bigger. You could see the flames on the other side of the mountain. It was NUTS.
It is now known as the Wood Hollow Fire.
These pictures below are from when it had just started and had only been burning a few hours.

That is my in-laws house, scary!

I pray that this fire can get under control and all the fires that are in Utah and in Colorado. They are just devastating and so scary.
With all this going on explains my being bad at blogging recently, sorry.
But, I am now 22..My birthday was on the fifth. It was super fun and Husband spoiled me and so did my mom... I better start on making some cupcakes.

Also on the 26th of June was the 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of when I met Sweet Husband in Australia.
It's weird to think that two years ago I was roaming around Australia and soon to come home to a letter that would be the start of a love story.
I love sweet Husband.

Juney June.

I am SO HAPPY that it is finally June!
June is probably my most favorite month, besides it being my birthday month it is also the same month that I first met Husband.
Plus, summer begins! mmhmm, I sure do love June!
I have a feeling that this may be a bit of a busy month. My birthday! Austin gets married, there are a couple anniversary things having to do with Australia and Husband...
Anyway, I welcome June with open arms. I hope it is full of sunshine and I hope I didn't just jinx it. Oops.

Last night I was waiting for a new episode of  "On The Fly" to come on and they showed a "Undercover Boss" episode just before having to do with the airlines.
Guess which airline?
That's right. Frontier Airlines. It was so cool to see our planes and uniforms on there. I knew exactly how all those people felt.
Our CEO Bryan Bedford is the one that went undercover and after felt for all the cross-utilized agents.
Meaning we do ramp and throw bags underneath the plane, Lavs and water and all that and then go check everyone in and put them on the plane. Most airlines just have you work one or the other.
Anyway, I thought it was so cool!

Well..Bye.
